A lovely faux silk fabric with the drape and feel of natural silk but being manmade, more robust. Like real silk, it has a high lustre and a beautiful textured quality that gives it a richness much sought after for soft furnishings in both period and modern homes. This silk is woven to produce a tight, crisp fabric with a natural sheen and a prominent textured slub that is regular in appearance. Because they are manmade, faux silks will not vary as much in colour as pure silk and although the slub, or weave, is more accentuated, it is also more uniformly spread across the fabric.
